Week 9: Wow 2 Whole Months

So this week was pretty wild. Monday in Rotary I got to see the brad new Handball and Basketball arena. It is obviously still under construction, but it is supposed to be completely finished by November because in December it is supposed to hold the European Woman's Handball Championships. Mondays are pretty hectic for me, I usually have school right up until I have to go to Rotary because I signed myself up for the Masters English Class at my Gymnasium, its pretty much a speech and debate class. Anyway, that class goes until 5, then I sprint home on my bike, throw on my rotary blazer, and ride to rotary because the meeting start at 6.  After this week they will be even more crazy because the band at the music school that fits my skill level meets on Mondays at 6 which means that I will only be able to do them every other week at the most. Mondays are the worst day of the week anyway....Why does it have to be Mondays!?  -_-
Tuesday was a much more fun day this week. We went on a field trip :D. My whole class went to the beach to make a profile of the beach. That did happen, but there was also a lot of rock skipping going on :). After we were finished it was time for lunch, so my friends took me to Danish McDonalds for the first time. Just for all of you to know, it was the exact same shitty food, just a lot more expensive. 1/10 (Would not recommend). Then after a few hours of messing around at school we were released early. All in all a pretty good day.
On Wednesday I met my new band director for the first time and got a trumpet!!!!! :D I cant wait to meet the band, but that will have to wait for a few weeks because next week Oct 12-18 is Fall Break, and then on the 19th I give my presentation about my home to rotary and all of my host families. 0.0 I might just be a little nervous.
Thursday was another pretty long day for me. I had a day with all 5 of my modules filled, which means I had school from 8am to 5pm, then I had to sprint home again on my bike to get to my first Track practice by 6pm. It poured during practice while we were doing a 10k with uphill sprints. (Yes, there are hills in Denmark, just not mountains) It was a pretty chilly ride home, it was dark,  below freezing and I was soaking wet. This was also the day that marked Exactly 2 months of being away from home.   WOW, Already?? It does not seem like its been 2 months.
Friday was awesome!! It was a day of no school right before a week long break. :) It started with a run, I had the option of doing a 3k, a 6k, or a 9k, and obviously, knowing me, I chose the 9k because I'm crazy, and I mean "why not?" ;P I placed 2nd in the 9k of about 30 highschool aged kids with a time of 38:07. I'm pretty proud of that, especially because I had run a 10k the day before. After I finished I found my host brother from my 2nd host family, and I went to the mall and messed around with him and his friends for probably an hour and a half. He took me back to school and I went home shortly after that to finish getting my stuff together for Caroline and my vacation on Samsø. We took the ferry to Samsø at about 2:30pm
On Saturday I did a lot of exploring, I borrowed my host grandma's nice camera, and was pretty much just walking around taking pictures. That night my host grandparents had arranged a dinner party with a bunch of their friends, that was a lot of fun. We talked a lot about history, and Tesla ;p. I had a lot of fun talking about the latter. Then I went out to one of the places that I had explored that day at about 11:30pm  to take pictures of the stars. It was really clear, and another thing that is cool about Samsø is that they turn off their street lights at midnight. :) It made for some pretty great pictures.
On Sunday my host grandpa took Caroline and me all over the island, i took a lot of pictures , and had a lot of fun First we wen to the very north East of the island, more north than east though, then we went into a little town called Nordby, had amazing european ice cream and walked around a bit while I took pictures. After this we went to the very northern tip of the Island, it was so beautiful.

Sorry this is so long, and with so many pictures, butt, as I said, this week was crazy.
