Week 33 (Mar21-27): Spring/Easter Break
Spring break was a fantastic week, I was able to hang out with my friend, find some new places, visit my favorite city(Copenhagen), and just have a blast. Monday I planned where I wanted to go the next day because none of my host family would be home. I ended going up to 3 really different cities: Vordingborg, Stege, and Præstø. I got some really cool pictures from all of them with my host parent's really nice Nikon D500 DSLR. Tuesday I hung out around the house, did some studying for my SAT coming up at the beginning of may, and just kinda rested. Wednesday was quite an amazing day. A group of my exchange student friends and me went to Copenhagen, we went around and explored for the whole day. My host parents let me borrow their camera for this day as well. :D I got some really nice pictures of Copenhagen. Thursday I rested for most of the day until about 2 in the afternoon when my family had some guests over for an Easter lunch. We ate sooo much food, it was great!! Then at about 21:00(9pm) I headed out to go to my friend, Samantha's, 18th birthday party. It was awesome!! Friday and Saturday I just watched movies and studied for the SAT. Then, on Easter, my host parents and me went to my host sister, Katrine's, apartment in Copenhagen to have Easter dinner and watch a Danish movie. It was really a great day, and a great end to the week.
Week 34(Mar 28- Apr 3): Seeing Old Friends and Making New Ones :D
This week was amazing and terrible at the same time, I got monday off of school, then I only had 4 days of school and the next week I had the whole week off pretty much. This is because the next week I had study-tour with my class(that will be in the next post). It was an unforgettable week. Monday of this short, yet also long week was filled by an exchange student get together on a beach on the west of Sjælland. We were there pretty much all day. It was a great way to end spring break. Tuesday was a really exciting day of school. I was so caught up in my break that I forgot that my first day back to school I had an excursion. This excursion was perhaps the coolest one I've been on so far, metaphorically and literally. We went to the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen, Denmark to do a lab on greenhouse gasses. After we finished that we got to look at some of the ice core samples from the North Pole, and look at ice crystals under a polarizing lense. It was really awesome. That wasn't even the end of the best first day back to school ever. When I came home I noticed a very huge surprise from home!! MY MOMMY SENT ME MY PHONE BACK!!! :D It was like freaking Christmas!! It was a great day!! Wednesday my last class got canceled. I got to go home early, so I went for a run. When I got home I noticed I had a message from one of my classmates. She asked me if I could be on the radio that night because they were having an international theme that day. I said yes. It was really a cool experience and I really enjoyed it. Thursday I went for a morning run, and school was pretty normal. Friday was the last school day before Study tour!!!!! :D
Now, on to the weekend. This weekend was extremely exciting, one of my friends from the US is studying in Spain with St. Mary's College. Her and a few of her friends decided that they wanted to come to Copenhagen. Partly to see me, partly because Copenhagen is just awesome!! ;P So I spent that weekend showing Brooke, and 2 of her friends around the amazing city of Copenhagen, and a castle not far from there. On Saturday we walked a total of about 18 miles (28km) and in the middle of that we partook in a massive pillow fight in Rådhuspladsen, which is pretty much City Hall Square. It was awesome!!
So, overall, a pretty awesome couple of weeks. I hope you enjoyed reading about it. :) As always below are a ton of pictures, in this post I think there are close to 150. Enjoy. :D I know I did. Talk to you in the next one and Thank you so much for reading.
