Also here are some pictures from my first week in Denmark. (Chronological)
"It isn't a year in a life, it's a life in a year" ~Rotary Youth Exchangers. I am Mason Hageman, and this is the blog. I will be keeping as a record of my exchange to Denmark. I will be spending a total of about 10-11 months in Næstved, Denmark. This means that I am leaving everything I know and love behind, and spending almost a whole year in a new life. Rotary Youth Exchange will change my life. I hope I am able to share that with all of you.

First Week
It's the end of my first week. It feels like its been so much longer than a week, I've done so many things it seems like its been a lot longer. I've spent a lot of time trying to adjust to the time change, maybe that's why it seems so long. School is a little bit different here, I haven't yet found a pattern yet in the schedule, the class periods are a lot longer, they are an hour and a half with a five min break somewhere in the middle. Also, being released from class early is a fairly common thing, which is really nice. Today Monday the 17 I got released from class at 11:35, that was really nice. This happened because the teachers can cancel class if they wish, so its a little more like college in that respect. This makes sense because Gymnasium is optional, so it is kind of like a free version of college where you are required to stick with the same group of classmates for all of your classes. this is because they schedule classes based on groups of 20-30 students based on their academic interests. It's a lot different than in the states. Here are some video compilations that Google made for me when I uploaded my GoPro videos to Google photos.
Even though I'm having a lot of fun, I still miss my friends, girlfriend, and family very much. I just hope this goes as fast for you as it will for me. I still love you guys ;P
