Weeks 24-25 (Jan18-31)
Monday (Jan18): SRO and Sunrise

5Months 2-3weeks
Hey guys!! I'm really sorry this took so long. I've been pretty busy this past month, and it's only going to get busier from here on out. In the coming months I have a Euro-tour, Study trip with my class, a couple school breaks, a change of families, some exchange get togethers, and who knows what else. These posts may become less and less frequent, but I will be sure to start posting more and more photos and things to other forms of social media(facebook, twitter, and instagram). These next few months will be a sprint to the finish! I can't believe that when this post comes out I will only have 137 days until I leave Denmark and arrive back in the USA!! IT'S INSANE!! Without any further ado I present you with the recap of these 2 weeks of my exchange. Enjoy. :)
Week 24
So, these 2 weeks of my exchange were pretty busy, mostly because of this SRO assignment I had to do. As I explained in my previous post, it's pretty much the Danish version of a Junior Paper.
This SRO had to be from 5-7 pages, it was hell for every single word. I was required to talk about welfare and the different models for every single one of those pages. -_- On Monday I pretty much just worked on that. Tuesday was more research on my SRO, finding sources, and a little bit of writing. Wednesday I had a chemistry lab involving photospectroscopy, and worked on my SRO. Thursday was more boring SRO stuff. However, differing from the rest of the week, Friday turned out to be pretty exciting. We did blood type tests in Biology, and on the bus on my way to the bus station to go home one of the back tires burst and fell off the bus!! :O It was quite bumpy. After that, I didn't think that my day could get any more exciting. Boy, was I wrong!! :D Later that night I got an e-mail from my travel agency back in the states saying that my return flights had been booked, and that I should my seats on the Plane as soon as possible. One thing that wasn't very exciting about that was finding out that I had to be at the Copenhagen airport at 04:00(am) on the 27th of June, when I take the trip home. Then most of the weekend I worked on my SRO.
Week 25
At the beginning of the week I didn't really have any plans for the the end of the week, however that all changed when I was contacted by the other rotary exchange student at my school, Kiara, who is from Canada. She asked me if another exchange student might be able to stay at my host parent's house for a few days. When I got home, I asked my host parents, they said it would be fine. Kiara then put me in contact with this exchange student who was exchanging In Turkey, but it turned out she was actually from Oregon! So, she got all the correct permission needed, and was coming up to Scandinavia for the week. She stayed at my host parents house for 3 nights. That is what I did on Monday. Then on Tuesday I went for a much needed run after School. Wednesday I didn't have class until 10 and it was also my last day of school for the week. On Thursday I took an adventure to Copenhagen International Airport to pick up the exchange student who would be spending the next few days with me. That was the first time I had been back to the airport since the first time I set foot in Denmark. It looks so much different when you aren't so exhausted you're falling over. ;P It was a really weird feeling. On Friday and Saturday Kiara and I took the other exchange students, the girl who was staying with me and the 2 other exchange students she had hosted at her host parents house. All 5 of us were either from Oregon or Canada. I have a ton of pictures below. I'll also link the video that one of the other exchange students made. I have yet to cut together the GoPro video I took, but I will put out a video of this weekend soon. Then on Sunday the exchange student I was hosting had to leave to go up to Stockholm, Sweden for a few days with another exchange student. We took some pictures with the Oregon state flag at the train station.
All in all a pretty busy, few weeks. There will definitely be busier ones in the future. I'm sorry that these posts are becoming less and less frequent, but if you want more frequent updates find me on social media. I have Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. If you can't find me feel free to email me, or drop a comment. I miss you all who are reading this from back in the states, thanks so much for sticking with me through this. It means a lot to me. :) Keep in touch. I'll be home before you know it. :)
