Week 26
Week 26
This week was a pretty good week, filled with plenty of excitement. On Monday my SRO was due, which ended up being about 6.5 pages of BS on welfare, and I had to give a presentation to a danish English class about being a teenager in the US, that was kinda fun. However, by far the best thing about Monday was the extremely exciting news I received about my rotary year end trip, which, for me will be an 18 day long tour of western Europe!!!!! :D I'll be on the 3rd bus which will be traversing Europe from May 19th through June 5th. List of cities we will be staying in is below. However we will be visiting far more cities than we will be staying in. Based on what I have read we will be exploring 15+ cities in 9+ countries. I'M SO EXCITED!! :D On Tuesday we had an exchange student meeting for all of the exchange students of Næstved Gymnasium, mostly just to get back together because we no longer have our introductory Danish class together, and also to meet the new exchange student who had just arrived. Wednesday and Thursday were pretty normal days. Friday the sky was awesome!! Then, Saturday I went with some of my friends to Slagelse to just mess around, we ended up playing pool, which was amazing. Then on Sunday I went to hang out with another friend.
Week 27
Monday started off really really well this week, it was an extremely nice day, had some laughs, and did some cool stuff at school. School Tuesday wasn't really anything special, but when I came home my host family told me that they were taking me to Madrid, Spain during the next week, which was winter break!!! As soon as I knew I started making plans. I got in contact with my former exchange student from Spain, Jose. We worked it out to meet up on Sunday. Also, Tuesday was the 9th of February, which marks the end of my 6th month in Denmark!!! Which feels INSANE!! With all the stuff I've done, it feels like i got here a month ago. It's just really weird that it's been that long. I very much look forward to the crazy next few months I have. On Wednesday I had a really late Chemistry lab at school, and when I home I was welcomed by make your own burgers. :D :D It was exactly what I needed after a long day at school. Then, on Thursday, some friends and I went to see DEADPOOL!!! I had sooo much fun, the movie was amazing. Finally, Friday was the last day before break!!! I was going to Madrid the next day, and I got to leave school at 13:35(1:35pm), everything was pretty perfect. Saturday I finished up my packing and made sure everything was charged before we went to Copenhagen for dinner at my oldest host brother's apartment. After dinner we took the Metro to the Copenhagen International Airport, and we got on a plane headed for Madrid. When we landed in Madrid it was about 23:00(11pm). We got our bags, and took a cab through Madrid, and to our apartment where we were staying. We figured out our sleeping situation, hung out for a little while, and then went to bed. Sunday was absolutely amazing!!! We started the day by heading to the huge art museum next to the Madrid Central Station. I met up with some current "native" exchange students at the museum and hung out for a little bit. Then at about 15:30(3:30pm) we left the museum and I met up with my former exchange student, Jose. He took me around Madrid for a few hours, and showed me a ton of cool stuff. We had a lot of fun.
So that was pretty much the summary of these 2 weeks of my exchange. Definitely look for my next post about the rest of my break, that one should be pretty exciting. I'll also be putting a new video up on my YouTube channel soon about my vacation in the capital of Spain. I hope you enjoyed this post. As always, I miss you all back home a lot!! Thank you all for sticking around and reading these.
Always feel free to contact me on any of my social media. Other than that, I'll talk to you in the next one. Love you guys!! :)
